Essential Information About Alaska Airlines ADQ Terminal

Services: Name Correction, Baggage, Cancellation & Refunds

Alaska Airlines Name Correction

Tickets with minor mistakes, such as spelling error or absence of the middle name, may be edited via the Manage Trip function or by contacting customer service. In general, Alaska Airlines does not allow to change a ticket to another person. Legal changes in names are possible only when there are additional documents. The ticket must have a name that corresponds to the government-issued identification document.

Alaska Airlines Baggage Allowance

The amount of checked luggage fees depends on the ticket, route, and Mileage Plan level. Some fares offer one free piece of luggage and others charge extra per piece and per trip. There are also limitations in size and weight of baggage, which are important information for the residents of Kodiak because often they have to bring hunting and fishing gear. Check the baggage page of the airline to learn about current charges.

Alaska Airlines Cancellation Fee

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation policy, the ticket purchased at least seven days prior to the date of travel can be cancelled for 24 hours for a full refund. After this period, the cancellation policy is defined by the fare. Flexible fares usually do not imply high costs for changes and cancellations, whereas the cost for changing/reissuing the tickets of the most restrictive fare may vary greatly. Review the policies of your fare in Manage Trip before making any decision.

Alaska Airlines Refund Policy

Whether you are entitled to a refund or not depends on the fare that you purchased. Refundable tickets are refunded to your original method of payment, and non-refundable tickets are converted to credits for future use. Alaska Airlines is obliged to provide a refund when the company cancels the flight or makes significant changes to it. It is worth considering on Kodiak Island due to the unpredictable weather conditions.
