Essential Information About Alaska Airlines OTZ Terminal

Services: Name Correction, Baggage, Cancellation & Refunds

Alaska Airlines Name Correction

Some small changes, like a name that is spelled wrong or lacks a middle name, can be corrected using Manage Trip feature or contacting customer care directly. In general, tickets can’t be transferred to someone else. Changing your legal name, e.g., after getting married, normally requires documentation. Your ticket name must be the same as your government-issued ID. Therefore, if you have made a mistake, make sure you correct it.

Alaska Airlines Baggage Allowance

Checked luggage rates depend on your fare, route, and Mileage Plan membership level. For some fares and Mileage Plan tiers, there is free luggage check-in, but for other fares and tiers, passengers are charged per piece, both ways. Additionally, Alaska has its own size and weight allowances, which might be important in an area where travelers commonly need cold-weather clothing, hunting/fishing gear, and other heavy items. Check Alaska Baggage information before traveling as there will be periodic changes in fees.

Alaska Airlines Cancellation Fee

According to U.S. Department of Transportation regulation, the ticket that was purchased more than seven days in advance can be cancelled within 24 hours with a full refund. Otherwise, cancellation terms will vary according to your fare and will be either refundable with little or without penalty or very restricted. Check the fare terms in Manage Trip before making a decision.

Alaska Airlines Refund Policy

Refund policy varies depending on what kind of fare you have purchased. The refundable tickets get back to your initial payment method while non-refundable tickets become a credit towards future travel. In case Alaska cancels or substantially changes your flight, you can receive the refund for non-refundable tickets even. It’s useful to know it about the Arctic where the weather can affect your itinerary. Make your refund request via alaskaair.com or Alaska Airlines’ app only.
