Before leaving for the airport, travelers should confirm:

• Air China flight number
• Departure date
• Scheduled departure time
• Check-in requirements
• Baggage allowance
• Boarding information
• Current flight status

Air China Arrivals at DCY

Passengers arriving on Air China flights can follow airport signs toward the arrival and baggage collection areas. After collecting checked luggage, travelers can proceed to the public area and arrange onward transportation.

Since Daocheng and the Yading region are popular tourist destinations, travelers should arrange accommodation and onward transportation in advance when possible, particularly during busy travel periods.

High-Altitude Travel at DCY

One of the most important things travelers should know about Daocheng Yading Airport is its very high elevation. DCY is among the world’s highest commercial airports, so passengers who are not accustomed to high altitudes may notice the effects of reduced oxygen levels.

Travelers should consider:

• Taking the airport journey at a comfortable pace
• Avoiding unnecessary physical exertion immediately after arrival
• Staying hydrated
• Allowing time to acclimatize before strenuous activities
• Following appropriate medical advice if they have concerns about high-altitude travel

Passengers with individual health concerns should consult an appropriate medical professional before traveling to a high-altitude destination.

Connecting Flights Through DCY

Passengers using DCY as part of a connecting itinerary should carefully check their complete Air China booking. Connection procedures depend on the itinerary and whether flights are booked under the same reservation.

Travelers should confirm:

• Connection time
• Baggage transfer arrangements
• Departure information for the onward flight
• Security or transfer requirements
• Whether baggage must be collected and checked again

Transportation to and from DCY

Travelers can arrange transportation between Daocheng Yading Airport and nearby destinations using available ground transportation options. Depending on the destination, passengers may use airport transfers, taxis, private vehicles, or other local transportation services.

Visitors traveling onward to Yading Scenic Area should plan the airport-to-destination journey in advance because the airport is located away from the main tourist areas.

Special Assistance at DCY

Passengers requiring additional airport assistance should contact Air China or the airport in advance whenever possible. Support may be available for passengers with reduced mobility, elderly travelers, families with children, and travelers who need additional assistance during check-in or boarding.

Given the airport’s high-altitude environment, passengers who may require special support should communicate their requirements before travel.
