Essential Information About Alaska Airlines SIT Terminal

Services: Name Correction, Baggage, Cancellation & Refunds

Alaska Airlines Name Correction

Alaska Airlines corrects minor errors, such as misspelling of a name or absence of a middle name, via Manage Trip feature or customer service. The tickets cannot be generally transferred to another passenger. Changes in legal names, say after marriage, are to be supported by additional documentation. Make sure your ticket bears the same name as your government ID.

Alaska Airlines Baggage Allowance

The airline collects checked baggage fees depending on your fare, route, and Mileage Plan level. Certain fares and levels provide a couple of free checked bags, while others collect the cost per piece, both ways. Size and weight limits established by Alaska Airlines affect your plans to bring fishing equipment, hiking gear, and coolers with seafood that many Sitka passengers use. Study the Alaska’s baggage policy prior to packing as fees vary from time to time.

Alaska Airlines Cancellation Fee

According to the rules set forth by the U.S. Department of Transportation, tickets purchased more than seven days prior to your departure date can be canceled in 24 hours in order to receive a full refund. For tickets purchased closer to the departure, cancellation terms are defined by your specific fare. Flexi fare is likely to allow you to change your itinerary without paying extra. Look into your fare specifics in Manage Trip.

Alaska Airlines Refund Policy

Eligibility for refunds is determined by what you paid for. Refundable tickets will be credited back to the method of payment that was used originally, whereas non-refundable tickets can be credited towards any future flight. You may be eligible for a refund in case Alaska Airlines cancels or substantially alters your flight, which comes in handy when flying from a coastally located airport subject to disruptions in weather. Please submit your request using alaskaair.com or the app and not a third-party number.
